About Frederick J. Watts
Frederick J. Watts, the Executive Director of the Police Athletic League, NYC, grew up in the Bronx, and Mt. Vernon, NY, and was a long time public service lawyer. Worked for Robert M. Morgenthau as an Assistant District Attorney in Manhattan where he remained a prosecutor for over 30 years. In 1990, he was promoted to the supervisory position of Deputy Bureau Chief, and in 1991, was elevated to the executive position of Deputy Administrative Assistant District Attorney and Director of Legal Hiring. In 1996 Mr. Watts was promoted to the position of Administrative Assistant District Attorney. In 2007, Mr. Watts became the Executive Assistant District Attorney for Finance and Administration. As Executive Director of PAL, Mr. Watts oversees this City’s oldest and largest independent not-for-profit youth services agency which serves nearly 40,000 underserved New York City youth in education and youth development programs. http://www.palnyc.org/
