About Lindsey Graham
United States Senator Lindsey Graham is the senior Senator of South Carolina – elected in 2003. Senator Graham is often seen as one of the most rational members of the U.S, Senate. He was a candidate for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. He has since withdrawn from the race and endorsed Senator Ted Cruz. He served in the United States Air Force from 1982 to 1988 and served as a reservist in the South Carolina Air National Guard – attaining the rank of Colonel. He served in the United States House of Representatives – representing South Carolina’s 3rd congressional district from 1995 to 2003. Graham is a leading foreign policy hawk and interventionist. He is known for his willingness to be bipartisan and work with Democrats on several issues such as climate change – tax reform and immigration reform. His recent support of removing the Confederate flag from public buildings in the South Carolina was viewed as a very progressive step to sooth race relations nationwide.
