About Dr. Allan Zarembski
Dr. Allan Zarembski has a PhD and M.A. in Civil Engineering from Princeton University, an M.S. in Engineering Mechanics and a B.S. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from New York University. He is a Professor at the University of Delaware where he teaches railroad and transit engineering, risk management, track component failure and degradation analysis, track inspection technology, safety and derailment prevention He is an internationally recognized authority in the fields of track and vehicle/track system analysis, railway component failure analysis, track strength, track safety, and maintenance planning. Dr. Zarembski has served as a consultant to all of the major railroad systems in the US and Canada, the US Federal Railroad Administration, US Department of Energy, World Bank, United Nations, and railways in Europe, Asia, Australia, Africa and South America. Dr. Zarembski has authored or co-authored over 120 technical papers, over 130 technical articles, and two book; “Tracking R&D” and “The Art and Science of Rail Grinding” both published by Simmons Boardman Books.
