About Victor A. Kovner
Victor A. Kovner practices law as a partner at Davis, Wright, Tremaine, LLP and serves on the board of the “J Street” organization which prothlesizes a two state solution for Israel http://jstreet.org/. At his law firm he is a nationally known expert in First Amendment law. He represents clients in all aspects of communications law, and advises clients in cases of alleged defamation, privacy, copyright, press access, and reporter’s privilege and other First Amendment issues. Mr. Kovner is a longtime member of Board of Americans for Peace Now. Victor has served as the Corporation Counsel of the City of New York; Chair of Board of Planned Parenthood of New York City; Chair of the Fund for Modern Courts; Member and later Chair, New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct. Victor received a BA from Yale University and his JD from Columbia Law School.
