About Matthew W. Daus
Matthew W. Daus was the longest serving Commissioner/Chairman of the NYC matt dausTaxi & Limousine Commission (“TLC”), and prior to that, TLC General Counsel. Mr. Daus’ public service career spanned almost 20 years in NYC government, including: Commissioner, NYC Civil Service Commission; General Counsel, NYC Community Development Agency; Special Counsel, NYC Trade Waste Commission; and Prosecutor, NYC Human Rights Commission. Mr. Daus is now a partner at the full-service law firm of Windels Marx, where he chairs its transportation practice. He serves as President of the International Association of Transportation Regulators (IATR), a non-profit organization representing government taxi commissioners around the world.
