Matthew Daus was the longest serving Commissioner/Chairman of the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (“TLC”) – and prior to that – TLC General Counsel. Mr. Daus’ public service career spanned almost 20 years in NYC government – including: Commissioner – NYC Civil Service Commission; General Counsel – NYC Community Development Agency; Special Counsel – NYC Trade Waste Commission; and Prosecutor – NYC Human Rights Commission. Mr. Daus is now a partner at the full-service law firm of Windels Marx – where he chairs its transportation practice. He serves as President of the International Association of Transportation Regulators (IATR) – a non-profit organization representing government taxi commissioners around the world.
