◉ U.S. Senator John McCain – Republican from Arizona, served in the Navy from 1958-198. He ran for president in both 2000 and 2008, becoming the Republican nominee in 2008
◉ Former U.S. Senator Alfonse D’Amato, Republican from New York, had a distinguished 18-year career in the Senate from 1981 to 1999. He served as chairman of the Senate Banking Committee, and was a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee – specializing in defense and transportation issues — as well as the Senate Finance Committee.
◉ Former Ambassador Patrick Theros was a career Foreign Service Officer from 1963 to 1999. Key positions he held in the Foreign Service include Ambassador to the State of Qatar, 1995-1998; Deputy Coordinator for Counterterrorism, Political Adviser to the Commander in Chief
◉ U.S. Senator Ron Johnson, Republican, is the senior U.S. Senator for Wisconsin. He is the chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, and serves on the Foreign Relations, Budget, and the Commerce, Science, and Transportation committees.
◉ Petros Doukas: Born in Athens in 1952, Doukas is the son of Air Force General Giorgios Doukas. He has a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University. In 1986 he took over as Citibank Investment Banking Country Head and Country Treasurer for Greece, and in 1990 also took over as Country Head for the Institutional and Corporate Banking sectors. From August 1992 to October 1993 he was Deputy Minister of Finance in the government of Konstantinos Mitsotakis, with the Public Debt and Public Assets among his responsibilities.
