About David Paterson

David Paterson iwas the 55th Governor of New York – in office from 2008 to 2010.  The former Governor this month joined the Stifel, Nicolaus & Company, Incorporated financial firm as a Director/Investments with the Moldaver, Paterson, Lee and Chrebet Group – one of the firm’s top teams – based in New York City.  He was the first African American governor of New York. Since leaving office – Paterson has sometimes been a radio talk show host in New York City.  In 1985 – he was elected to the New York State Senate to a seat that was once held by his father – former New York Secretary of State Basil Paterson. In 2003 – he rose to the position of Senate Minority Leader.  Governor Paterson is becoming a sage observer on political life in New York.  His commentary on the current ethical challenges in Albany is being taken as serious advice to the law makers supposedly drafting new guidelines.
