About Eric Schneiderman

Eric Schneiderman is the 65th and current New York Attorney General a Democrat.  Before being elected Attorney General, Schneiderman previously represented the 31st District in the New York State Senate, the upper Westside of Manhattan.  Schneiderman is a former Chairman of the Democratic Senate Campaign Committee.   Within the past 30 days, Attorney General Schneiderman has taken on expanding access to mainstream banking access for underbanked communities, on-call scheduling for employees, deceptive advertising with broadband speeds and tackling designer drugs like synthetic marijuana.  Eric previously served as a public interest lawyer, representing tenants trying to evict drug dealers from their buildings, women seeking access to health clinics, and taxpayers in historic lawsuits against the MTA.
