About Daniel Donovan

Congressman Daniel Donovan represents Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn in the United States Representatives. From 1989 until 1996 Congressman Donovan was an Assistant District Attorney in the office of Robert M. Morgenthau.  In 1997 he became Chief of Staff to then Staten Island Borough President Guy V. Molinari. In 2003, Mr. Donovan ran for and won the office of Richmond County District Attorney.  During his tenure, his office led the city’s prosecutors with the highest felony convictions.  Donovan became the focus of a national controversy surrounding the death of Eric Garner.
