About Dan Garodnick
Dan Garodnick is New York City Councilman representing Manhattan’s 4th District since 2006 representing the Tudor City area of Manhattan. Prior to running for elected office – Garodnick practiced as a securities litigator at the New York law firm of Paul – Weiss – Rifkind – Wharton & Garrison LLP. Councilman Garodnick is the chairman of the powerful Economic Development committee. In his first year on the Council – Garodnick established himself as a leader in the fight for affordable housing – spearheading the $4.5 billion tenant-backed bid for the purchase of Stuyvesant Town/Peter Cooper Village.
