About Congressman Jerry Nadler

Congressman Jerry Nadler, Democrat, serves as the U.S. Representative for New York’s 10th congressional district mostly in Manhattan. Prior to his election to Congress, Nadler served in the New York Legislature from 1977 to 1992. Nadler is a member of the U.S. House Committee on the Judiciary and Transportation and Infrastructure committees. He is the Ranking Member of the Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties. The Congressman is considered to a leading expert on urban planning and rail transportation. According to the National Journal, Nadler is one of seven members of the House of Representatives who tie for most liberal. Congressman Nadler voted for the Iranian nuclear deal and wrote an op ed piece last week, December ,2015.
