About Mark Treyger

Mark Treyger is the Council member for the 47th District of the New York City Council. He is a Democrat. The district includes portions of Bath Beach, Bensonhurst, Borough Park, Brighton Beach, Coney Island, Gravesend, Sea Gate and Sheepshead Bay in Brooklyn.  The Brooklyn lawmaker is pressing the city to landmark Coney Island’s iconic boardwalk in an effort to stop parts of it from being converted into concrete and fake wood.  Mark is one of the most active, effective, hard working, outspoken and respected Council Members. Treyger was elected by his colleagues to the important position of Co-Chairman of Brooklyn delegation in NYC Council.
