Senator Ron Johnson, R-WI, is the senior United States Senator for Wisconsin. A Republican. Prior to his election to the Senate, Senator Johnson had no electoral experience and was chief executive officer of PACUR, LLC, a polyester and plastics manufacturer. After Senator Johnson’s election to the Senate, he liquidated all his business assets to avoid any hint of conflict of interest while serving in office. When Wisconsin elected Senator Johnson, one of the most conservative members of the Senate, the state switched from Senator Russ Feingold one of the most liberal members.
