About Rev. Msgr. Kieran E. Harrington
Rev. Msgr. Kieran E. Harrington , V.E. is Vicar for Communications for the Diocese of Brooklyn. He is responsible for overseeing the Diocesan Public Information Office; Government Affairs and Public Policy Office; NET, the cable station of the Diocese of Brooklyn, as well as The Tablet, the newspaper of the Diocese of Brooklyn. The Diocese of Brooklyn, which also encompasses the borough of Queens, is located in New York City and is the eighth largest diocese in the United States with 1.5 million Catholics. The 89 Catholic schools and academies in the Diocese educate over 30,000 students. Prior to his current position was Director of Government Affairs for the Diocese and a leader of early efforts to bring Education Tax Credit Legislation to the forefront of public policy discussions in Albany. Rev. Msgr. Harrington is the Rector of the Co-Cathedral of Saint Joseph in the Prospect Heights section of Brooklyn. Monsignor Harrington hosts his own very popular radio program, “In the Arena”on WOR radio is an original, fast-paced, weekly series exploring the latest news, current events, political topics, and social opinions that define a generation.
