Marty Markowitz former Borough President of Brooklyn for 12 years. Elected in 2001 – 2013 after serving 23 years as a New York State Senator. Now Vice President, Borough Promotion & Engagement at NYC & Company, was named to the Brooklyn Board of Directors at the American Heart Association. As Brooklyn Borough President, Markowitz’s achievements included bringing the Brooklyn basketball team to the Barclays Center.
