Governor Tom WolfGovernor Tom Wolf is the 47th and current Governor of Pennsylvania, since taking office on January 20, 2015. A Democrat, he defeated Republican incumbent Tom Corbett in the 2014 gubernatorial election. Previously, Wolf served as the Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue from April 2007 until November 2008.   A businessman, Wolf served as CEO and chairman of the Wolf Organization, a distributor of kitchen and bath cabinetry and supplier of building materials. Wolf spent two years in India with the Peace Corps, worked at a hardware store, and was a truck driver.  Wolf restored a ban on hydraulic fracturing, or “fracking”, in state parks and placed a moratorium on the death penalty within Pennsylvania.
