About Anne-Claire Legendre

Consul General Anne-Claire Legendre took office as Consul General of France in New York on 29 August 2016. She is the first woman to hold this post. Anne-Claire Legendre is in charge of promoting the influence and attractiveness of France in the states of New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey, as well as in Bermuda. Anne-Claire Legendre previously served at the French Embassy in Yemen in 2005-2006, before joining the Foreign Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2007, where she helped to develop consular cooperation between the Member States of the European Union.  From 2008 to 2010, she is responsible for bilateral relations with Algeria within the North Africa and the Middle East Division. His appointment to the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations –  an assistant to Ambassador of France to the United States New York from 2010 to 2013.  Called in 2013 to the Cabinet of the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, Mr. Laurent Fabius, for three years he served as the Minister’s adviser for the North Africa and the Middle East.
