About Congressman Todd Christopher Young

Congressman Todd Christopher Young is the U.S. Representative for Indiana’s 9th congressional district in South central Indiana since 2011.  Republican.  He is running for the Senate in Indiana for the open seat being vacated by Senator Dan Coats. Just a few weeks after graduating high school, Young enlisted in the United States Navy and reported for duty in Newport, Rhode Island. In May 1991, Young received an appointment from the Secretary of the Navy to attend the United States Naval Academy at Annapolis.  Following an illustrious military career in the Marines, Young joined the staff of U.S. Senator Richard Lugar.  Since being elected, Young has voted with the Republican Party 95% of the time.  Congressman serves on the prestigious Ways & Means Committee.
