Rebecca Harary is the Republican candidate for the for the open seat in the 4th City Council District on the East Side. Ms. Harary is the Republican, Reform, Libertarian, Women’s Equality and the Stop de Blasio lines. Ms. Harary identifies herself as a “Mike Bloomberg Republican.” An accomplished problem solver who transcends party labels, Rebecca has an excellent chance of capturing the seat. She did well in the 2016 Assembly race; she received the highest raw vote total of any Republican since 2000 in the 73rd AD and received the highest percentage of any Manhattan Republican candidate since 2002. After working for years as a successful entrepreneur, Rebecca switched gears and moved into the non-profit realm, where she enjoys building organizations for people in need. Over the last 12 years, Rebecca has founded two non-profit schools; The Imagine Academy for Autism and The Yeshiva Prep High School for children with mild learning challenges.
