About Arnold Kriss

Arnold Kriss is currently in private practice specializing in civil and criminal litigation. Formerly he was a Brooklyn Assistant District Attorney, investigating and prosecuting numerous criminal matters, including drug and murder cases, as well as, prosecuting a police officer for murder.  He was also a New York Police Department Deputy Commissioner of Trials presiding and supervising more than 2,000 police and civilian disciplinary matters.  In private practice he has defended police officers and public officials charged with criminal misconduct. He served as Chairman of the New York City Health and Hospitals Personnel Review Board overseeing the City’s health system’s personnel disciplinary and labor matters. Mr. Kriss was counsel to former Mayor Edward I. Koch.  He was written a number of op-ed articles for the New York Daily News on police and ethics issues.
